Question about the Boston Celtics

So, I watched the C's Sixers yesterday.

Had a couple take aways:

-Tatum is going to be really good. Maybe the best rookie in the last 2 drafts.
-The Celtics are going to really struggle defensively if they start Tatum at the 4, but they will be able to score with almost anybody.

It’s almost unfathomable for him to be better than fultz or ball.

I disagree.

Simmons and Fultz are far from perfect. Fultz is a lot like Kyrie actually. Since you hate Kyrie, you better hope TATum is better.

I love Ball, but he is a different kind of player entirely.

Don't forget that the C's acquired Daniel Theis. Dude was the defensive player of the year last season with Germany. Dude is 6'9" 245 lbs can explode to the basket, has a pure 3 point jumper and dunks over everyone. His first preseason game he led the C's with 12 points 7 reb and 3 ast. I had no idea who the fuck he was but he looked like an all star caliber player on the court. C's young guns are insanely good right now. Taytum should be the starting SG IMO.

Can we just agree his nickname is going to be Berlin Wall and move on to finding Hayward a cool nickname?

Tatum was never known for his defense... If he is motivated enough i think he can be ok but he is more of an offensive weapon.

Tatum is better now, and we will only see Brad make him even better . What most of you may have overlooked is he has a wingspan thats off the charts for his 6 8 frame. He has to adjust to the double triangle and not have to be an iso only player. His defense will be good under Brads system and Horford will make sure of it.

In Brads system 2s, 3s and 4s all must interchange. Its the modern way to manage defense. Smart, Brown and Tatum are exactly what Danny and Brad have been dreaming, and also why the wanted Hayward. You will struggle if you try to use older team designs to categorize their plans. The nba is changing on us all

I will still take Ball.

But Tatum is surprising. The fact that his blocks and steals are better as a pro than a collegian right now shows how amazing of a coach Brad Stevens is.

I may have actually underrated Stevens in this regard.

I had ball clearly number one, but behind Simmons from 2015. But still a clear 1-1 worth prospect.

Then fultz.

Then had Tatum, jackson and Isaac All sikilar. But they’e All so different as players. I kinda wanted Danny to deal down again and end up with Isaac and Giles. I love getting hr swings Line Giles late.

But Danny also didn’t listen to me about deandre Jordan or Hassan whiteside.

Historically they got a good deal.

Trading up to 1 isn’t usually so cheap. And getting 1-1 protection was brutal.

Nice analysis. I've also noticed that the C's will be able to compete for the Eastern conference championship even without Hayward. Very impressed with this team so far. Kyrie is tearing it up right now.
