I honestly haven't made it all the way thru them yet. I fell asleep both times I've tried.

It's on my "to-do" list, but it just seemed like too much suspension of disbelief was needed to enjoy them? I was never a big Kung Fu guy either.

Two is more "believable" (for the most part) than one and the dialogue is really good. You may want to watch that one first and return to one.

Should really only judge his 8 he directed.

Romance, natural and dusk all would be far better if he directed them.

I actually view it as more of a live-action Anime.

It is 100% suspension of disbelief territory. But how is that different from Basterds?

I look at KB as a kind of dance. It is all about the flow, not the actual story.

I am not going to count movies he wrote but others directed, though if I did it would improve my opinion of him.

Reservoir Dogs - Great movie, fantastic
Pulp Fiction - good movie
Inglorious Basterds - OK

Everything else is pretty much crap which isn't surprising because he is hack. A pretentious asshole of a hack, but just a hack.

I find him vastly overrated. I guess if you love overextended dialogue scenes then he's the guy for you. In saying that...

I love Django Unchained. His best movie by far and I think as it ages it will go down as one of the best movies of this time period. It was done beautifully with all the violence you want to see from a QT movie without boring dialogues that last 15 minutes.

I haven't seen Hateful 8 yet and other the ones I left off are the ones I'm not a huge fan of. I don't there is a ton of separation from top to bottom on the list, his product is pretty consistent and entertaining.

1. Pulp Fiction
2. Inglorious Basterds. Best opening and best joke of all of his movies
3. Reservoir Dogs. Goes a little overboard on showing which characters were bonded with other characters
4. Kill Bill II
5. Jackie Brown
6. Natural Born Killers. A movie that only needs to be seen once
7. Kill Bill I. Basically an anime mixed with a Clint Eastwood plot
8. From Dusk Til Dawn
9. Death Proof. A couple of good scenes but its basically stereotypically Tarantino with obsession with obscure movies, obsession with women's feet and legs and lots of dialogue with n-bombs and such.

Haven't seen:
Django Unchained. I've seen about half of it in three sessions. I'll get around to it at some point but i haven't really been in the mood to see it.

Good list. I would have to think on this to add, but I would put the opening scene of Basterds as the best. That scene was so effing classic.

Off the top of my head...

Dogs
Breakfast
Cutting off ear
Pink death scene

Pulp Fiction
Holiest of Holys
Royal with cheese
The watch

H8
Need to watch again to identify the classics. Don't want to spoil too much right now, though.

Dusk
Cheech at the door

Some Tarantino facts...

NBK and True Romance both came from the same script. But the studio wanted 2 scripts from him in order to green light Pulp Fiction. So he broke them in to 2 different stories and handed them off.

Also, he wrote the Bear Jew character In Inglorious Basterds for Adam Sandler but scheduling didnt work out and Eli Roth got the role instead. Sandler would have been epic in that role.

Never heard the NBK/TR factoid before. Interesting.

I was aware of Sandler, and keep trying to picture him as the Bear Jew, and I can't see it. But he is actually a VERY good actor. He just chooses to have fun over producing quality. Look at Spanglish and Punch Drunk Love. Dude has chops.

True Romance
Pulp Fiction
4 Rooms (see Natural Born Killers)
From Dusk Til Dawn
Jackie Brown
Kill Bill I
Kill Bill II
