Going with 9-3. They should be able to finish with at least 9 wins IMO and as many as 11

Last games on the schedule are going to brutal only because of the traveling distance between them. However, I would agree 9-3 or 10-2. Only losses to USC and Stanford. Maybe Michigan.

None of the games this season are games they can't win but they are likely to drop a few. I would say USC, Stanford, Michigan, and FSU are the most likely possibly Virginia Tech.

It’s hard to predict because Brian Kelly can’t put two decent seasons together in a row.

Defense should be better but who knows what the offense will do.

I have a weird feeling he’ll blow a lot of close games that should have been won in paper. And Va Tech will be like the Miami game last year. Hostile crowd who is eager to have us there and we’ll see if Kelly has them prepared.

As an eternal optimist I think Wimbush and Dexter Williams are going to have big years. That being the case, and the defense coming back with 9 starters, I actually think we win 10-11 games. Plus a bowl game (or two)

Not a game on the schedule we cant win, but also 6 chances at a loss(Michigan, Stanford, Virginia Tech, Northwestern, FSU, USC) If we don't do dumbass stuff we can win all 6. I'm thinking 10-2 is what I'd go with, but don't have any idea who the 2 losses would be too.

I'm leaning 10-2 or 9-3. I also think they can sneak out a win vs one of VA Tech, FSU or USC. Young, inspired teams can be dangerous.

The crowd at the two neutral sites should favor ND, and maybe even the crowd at Northwestern.

I go with 10-2 record for the Fighting Irish.

One of the two losses that could potentially happen is either by Virginia Tech or Florida State, while they'll drop a road game against USC.

Why it doesn't matter to me if you are right? You are usually a doom and gloom person so it isn't a big surprise that you are predicting a bad year. I'm betting you didn't predict last season very few did and you have no faith in Kelly (not undeserved). I'm not always happy with Kelly but I can admit the state of the program is far better now than when he took over or at anytime since Holtz was on the sideline. That isn't enough but Notre Dame were basically a shell of what they were for about a decade with a little success sprinkled in here and there. This staff can't have another season like 2016 or I should say Kelly can't have another year like that.

look, anyone who is all hyped up every fall about how great everything will be is, in my opinion, an ignorant fan. it's fine to be hopeful (even completely unreasonably like you) every single year but it's not very realistic. from your distorted point of view i naturally look pessimistic. the fact is i'm just pragmatic. it's clear from their records the team has had more success with kelly. i don't dispute that. but look what you're comparing him to! absolute garbage! in other words, you saying that doesn't make him a good coach. i think he's a pretty good recruiting coach and a terrible coach on the field. my point of view is longer ranged than yours. i remember when ND was elite. every year! they aren't anymore. my comments reflect that. so SUE me! i think they'll be an ok team this year. i think kelly expecting winbush to suddenly become a good qb proves to me he doesn't learn from his mistakes .... ever! that's a bad coach. and a team reflects its coach.

i'd also appreciate it if you stopped your childish attacks on me every stinking year. i never addressed you. grow up and learn how to ignore people you don't like.
