The class was small, but it was going to be small regardless of coaching. On a per player ranked basis, the Texas class isn't bad. They got a lot of their needs filled, specifically TE

If they had landed Chaisson, who says he changed his mind the morning of signing day, Texas would have had a top 25 class.

Meh, it's not as if the roster isn't loaded with talent as is. Herman has to win with what he has, because THIS is supposed to be the year that this team would contend in conference. So he really doesn't have much wiggle room, he wasn't left with an empty cupboard.
