How is this not way more popular with sys admins? Every stupid task that you have to do more than once can be automated with this, and it seems like most admins treat it as an after thought.

I wonder if it will work just as well on Linux now that you can install it there.

Agreed, if you are already a Linux admin no reason to move away from bash, but for windows admins who have a few Linux machines in their environment it might be nice to have.
