I've only come across 2 people who thought putting down Waffle House was legit.

Mamba and AG.

AG keeps trying to use Waffle House and sweet tea as a way to put down southerners. The response is usually "wtf are you insane, I love Waffle House and sweet tea!"

I’ve had it exactly one time. Was not impressed with the waffles, thought they were more of a waffle shaped pancake. Otherwise, seemed like a typical, basic breakfast diner...

Never had the waffles. I usually get somekind of burger/patty melt and hashbrowns.

Hashbrowns are the entire reason to go.

Ate the pig n pancake in seaside (orig location) just a couple of weeks ago. Sort of meh.

Waffle House is totally legit though. Maybe it just depends on the location? I'd be hitting that if we had one up here.

Closer to Denny's, but with better food, faster service, and kind of smaller places. They do a lot more than just breakfast. Greasy short order menu. It's not a place to go if you are on a diet lol.

I think they have one in Portland. Closer than the coast and they have fantastic titty bars to visit after.

I’ve got a portland story. At this point though, I think the only fun I’m having in Oregon is omelets, kites, and squeezing into a bumper car to destroy some kids who haven’t figured out how throw their weight into the crash.

Edit: or if I ever make it to Eugene for a 70-21 type slaughtering. Don’t care to ever go back there though.
