Ponder threw for 2,717 yards in nine games last season before separating his right (throwing) shoulder in a loss at Clemson in November and missing the final four games of the season. He completed 68.8 percent of his passes in 2009 – the best total for an FSU quarterback since Charlie Ward (69.5) won the Heisman Trophy in 1993.

He's got all the potential to be a Heisman winner. There is also a few important games on the schedule for him to make a name for himself. However, it's all about whether or not the defense gives us a chance to win games this year. If the defense steps up and plays at the same level of our offense....who knows.
