I'm thinking UCLA or one of the Arizona schools depending on who has the bad season this year.

UCLA doesn't like to pay coaches as much as people think they should and most people here don;t think they care enough about football. Look how long Moras been there. He's been close to being really good then dips down to sucking every time

I believe that should read THE University of Potato Salad.

...Unless you meant Potato Salad State.

He'd probably kill in in the Big 12. ND is super interesting.

I want to say Tennessee, but I think he might be scared of the SEC since he never had success against SEC teams...except Tennessee.

Are people still sold on him as a coach? Obviously he knows his offense but it takes more (A&M, Baylor) to win consistently. After this stint in the NFL where he was basically a failure, if USC , Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Bama, LSU ..... had openings would he be the first call?Second? Third?
He should go to San Diego State or Fresno State. He could pick off enough talent to be pretty good. USC had six or seven players on the roster from just from just one HS this last year (J. Serra).
The available proven head coach pool is very shallow so someone will take a chance. Spurrier and Saban were not successful in the NFL.

True but Chip has a specific style of offense he runs which requires different personnel. To go as fast as he wants to play you need smaller O linemen, you get the roster flooded with 5'9- 5' 10 guys . You're defense has to be different too because they will be on the field longer . It's not what the southern football is used to and I don't know if anyone other than a school who hasn't been winning at all would want to bring in knowing it might take longer to get the roster how he likes it and if it doesnt work you're stuck with a team full of players most coaches can't work with. Saban and spurrier ran pro style offense and if it didnt work it wouldnt be that much of a commitment.

He's only @ ESPN till his next job comes along......odd choice though. I don't see him being that good at it.

I hope he's with the Bruins.....Mora Jr has run his course and needs to go back to the League as an assistant or HC somewhere.

I'm just saying that would be a good place for him. Wasn't saying it's available.

You are right too. PAC 12 ....Why not ? He could draw some recruits in a conference that has just a few really decent teams year after year. For now he'll do the ESPN thing. Why not....keeps him networked into the talk and speculation while he gets paid to get his face out there in the public's eye. Smart move by him....

He'll need a pool in his contract. He likes to take dips when the urge suddenly takes....

I just don't see him being successful at a ND or a Tennessee.......too much work to overhaul and install his offense with the players he would recruit.

Easiest turnaround would be a PAC school or possibly TAMU.
