You're on the clock..
How can Anyone list a LB and not list Derrick Brooks, are Sacks the ONLY way a LB can be the best?
I should have been more clear, outside LB.He listed Singletary, Butkus, and Ray Lewis none of them were pass rushing linebackers and all 3 were a tier above Brooks.
And the rest of the guys listed aren't?
Man... in the supplementary draft the Giants passed on Reggie White who went next to Philly. Giants almost landed the greatest and 2nd greatest defensive players at the same time in their primes. Could you imagine Reggie lining up at DE with LT right behind him at OLB.
I should have been more clear, outside LB.
Even Still how many of them could do what Brooks Did? None. Yet Brooks could do what they did, not as well but not as bad as if Ray Lewis tried to Cover WRs... Or Butkus, that would have been funny...
The ONLY reason Brooks is not listed is his Assignment was moving backwards not forwards. Because he was the only one who could. As Moving Backwards is Infinitely Harder in Football.
No Other LB could cover and stop the run as well as Derrick Brooks. None.
He listed Singletary, Butkus, and Ray Lewis none of them were pass rushing linebackers and all 3 were a tier above Brooks.
Deion Sanders shouldn't even be on the list unless you're talking about flag football. What a puss.
As much as it pains me to say this, Champ Bailey is the greatest defensive player to play the game of football.
