Damn that was nuts. I'm a Cowboys fan but I started shipping the Vikes to be cool with my friends in the North. Watched the game with my neighbor and I was was rooting hard for the Vikings. His girlfriend called midway through the 4th quarter and he is telling her lovely dovey shit while I'm telling him what's going on. Went from ok to awful to ok to were fucked. He is walking out the door when 14 seconds are left and basically says fuck it I'll see the last play. Motherfucker that was glorious. When Diggs caught it and didn't go out I thought he was a moron for not setting up the field goal. But there wasn't anyone in front of him so ballgame.

Best ending ever

Another typical post from perhaps our biggest narcissist poster here on SportsHoopla.
Hey, Harold.....how ya doing? Haven't seen you in a while. I trust you had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year? You're the same old grumpy guy I remember.

Also did Williams get paid off to lose the game?

That was such a poor effort. He had deep coverage, the last line of defense .. Diggs in mid air and he whiffs ? Just brutal.

But he looked like he'd been crying when he was interviewed and looked as if he was about to again. So I think he was trying, though it sure didn't look like it.

Yeah as I watch the play it almost looked like he got there early and wanted to avoid the contact so he wouldn't get PI.

Him yes, but none for Sean Payton, was glad to see him choke! :dhd:

I just started to think towards the end Brees/Brady was our last salvation at an interesting SB

Now its Bortles, Keenum, Foles

No thanks

Before the final play, I thought this was gonna be about the poor clock management by the Vikings at the end of the game that gave the Saints the chance. After the Thielen catch, you have the ball on the Saints 40 and need a few more yards to kick the FG and the Saints have one timeout with 1:47 left on the clock. You go 3 straight passes, 2 incompletions and one to the sidelines that stops the clock. Ended up kicking with 1:34 left on the clock and you only got 5 yards. Run it up the middle 3 times, make them use their timeout, and get it down to 30 seconds.

100%, had a bunch of people over and a lot of people said the same thing, they never capitalized on the fact the Saints only had one TO

The flipside however, is that you could see the Vikings not wanting to run a few times and just "settle" for a near 50 yard FG...I could see them wanting to get another first down before they started to worry about the clock

I could see that, but don't throw it to the sidelines and you shouldn't be throwing it 3 straight times there.

I gotta say I feel sorry for Saints fans, as a Vikings fan I know a thing or two about crushing losses. I have no doubt the Saints will be back in the playoffs with a good shot to get to the Super Bowl next year. Congrats on a great season...
