Michigan lost Peppers, but kept a couple of other guys who could have left (which should actually really help us next year).

It is somewhat surprising. I was falsely under the assumption that OSU was extremely young this year.

That wouldn't be a false assumption. They have 15 starters slated to return when 6 declared early. One Buckeye starter was a senior against Clemson. Hooker, Lattimore, and Brown all had 2 years of eligibility left. Conley and McMillan were true juniors. I don't know if the Buckeyes were the youngest team in FBS but they were dead last in terms of returning experience. https://www.google.com/amp/www.sbna...eyes-2017-nfl-draft-urban-meyer?client=safari

So in other words, Ohio State made the playoff when most teams would have been happy to win 8 games

Ohio State's secondary is becoming UK hoops. 6 early draft entrants in 2 years.

Khalid Hill (FB and leading TD scorer) and Maurice Hurst (DT) stayed for a 5th year.

Maybe Hurst could have I don't know anything about him but FBs don't leave early this day an age for the NFL

Yep, seems like it is going to be like this every year. We have the youngest team in the nation and we still have the most players leaving early smh

I don't know, there's a lot more FB use in the NFL these days and he scored 13 touchdowns for us this year. Hurst definitely could have been drafted, but I think another year will raise his stock into the top 4 rounds.

My brother made a good point. We had the youngest team which means we had the more players to choose from that could declare early

I guess. I was thinking more like a major player. TDs are incidental, especially when you're talking from a few yards out. I doubt he would've gotten drafted (not many do anymore). Was Hurst even considered draftable?

2-3 get taken each year and he was rated as the #2 fullback this year. So he probably would have been taken late.

There is a lot of kicker and punter use too but they aren't leaving early to be drafted

Dude had 25 carries for 39 yards. I guess if that's a source for excitement, have at it. They'll need his blocking badly, replacing 4/5 OL.
