MARILINS: Catcher JT Realmuto (2015-2017)

Really good line drive hitter (27% career)

Led baseball last season in road BA in 2016 (.350)

Had 7 triples in 2015.

Was 64th last season in pitches seen per PA (3.92)

Lower than average SO% (15% in 2015, and 18.4% in 2016)
-------------------------------------------------
Had the fastest pop-up time (from his glove to the fielders glove on SB attempts).

Threw out 35% of baserunners last season. (lead MLB)

Converted SS. Was still working on things last season and had a weird amount of errors in 2016.
--------------------------------------------------
Went 12/16 on SB last season.

Good baserunner and probably the speediest catcher in MLB.

Only 26. If I were starting a team today, I wouldn't hesitate to take him as my starting catcher.

Ha!
Let's see ... the Reds have Joey Votto and 24 other guys who could qualify for this exercise.

Robert Gsellman. Could be the next big pitcher for the Mets. Lugo is the other guy but with potential Tommy John looming he's up in the air.

He hits like a 12-year old, but last season, the Tigers' Andrew Romine played every position except catcher. Also great as a late-inning pinch runner, with plus speed. Every team needs an Andrew Romine on it.

He's 31. I thought he was younger.

Mitch Hanniger might be a huge part of that Taijuan Walker trade by season's end

Eduardo Rodriguez doesn't seem to get much attention, but he could be a good mid-rotation starter. Even last year's numbers are a bit misleading, as he struggled with his mechanics after coming off an injury. However, he was very good in the 2nd half after getting recalled from AAA.

Who is this Hanniger guy you mention?
Walker, is he still healthy? And Marte. OH, and we got Segura.

Sorry AZ,

great post @Podunkparte

Loved the Haniger addition at the time and I loved the Healy addition. Guess who also just went deep!

Eduardo Escobar. He was a throw away utility infielder that we got in the Liriano trade. He has turned himself into a very reliable everyday 3B and can play a decent Short or 2nd in a pinch. Hitting for both average and power.

Right now he leads the league with 26 doubles and has been one of two consistent players on our offense.

Among all the pending free agents that the Twins have (and it's a lot), EE is the one that I'd want to lose the least.

Was just coming to say Escobar.

An actual trade that a Minnesota sports team made that was highway robbery.

True shame that we’ve mostly sucked while he’s been a twin. His versatile role player ability would be massive on a great team.

Pirate outfielder Auston Meadows. He has 5 homers in just 70+ at bats and batting over .320!
