If the first 3 things are true (and Pillar is clearly taking the stance that they are) then the last should not be. And even though he's doing the right thing and making a statement about taking responsibility for this I can't help but think that saying "It's part of the game..." just seems like a way to push that responsibility elsewhere (onto a broader target that can take the hit) even just a little bit.
