Pick the Podium - IndyCar- Iowa Corn 300, Iowa City, Iowa, 2017

After two weeks off, the IndyCar boyz are back in the race cars for the Iowa Corn 300. Usually this race gets pretty heated as the track's design encourages high speed, quick racing. Should be interesting to see who emerges from this furious bull-ring of a track.

Newgarden, Power, and Pagenaud are the top three in practice. Team Penske is bringing the heat. Marco Andretti is fifth which is a surprise. I wonder if this third generation Andretti is ever going to do anything with his lackluster career?

Pagenaud is the fastest of the Team Penske cars in the final practice.

I'll go with Power for the win, Pagenaud for second, followed by Dixon and Castroneves.

Right now, Castroneves leads Power on lap 75 of 300.

Ryan Hunter-Reay, who has not a win in a very long time is now sixth and on the move.

Hildebrand slips by Power for second at Lap 92.

RHR has moved up to fifth.

Hildebrand leads Power at Lap 125.

Kimball takes over the lead and RHR is now 4th.

Castroneves now leads Power and RHR.

Holy Cow, Marco Andretti is leading the race.

That didn't last long.

Right now, the race is under yellow and Castroneves leads.

Looks like Castroneves wins followed by Hildebrand, RHR, and Power.

Marco reminds me of John. He only shows up about once every ten races. The other nine he runs around in the back of the pack and at the end of the day collects his pay check. Jeff at least had the excuse of not getting any of the Andretti talent.

Jeff also had feet injuries sustained in a crash that ended HIS lackluster career. John would just drive around and find the nearest wreck even when he drove for Richard Petty Motorsports.
