This is a busy racing weekend as Indycar moves to the road course at Watkins Glen in New York. This next to last race gives everyone a chance to get a win as the competition remains fierce. We shall see if Power moves ahead of Pagenaud as the margin between the two has decreased significantly. Other teams are testing for next year and Andretti Autosport could use a win. Should be interesting as usual.

Apparently just about everyone is above the track record in practice as Dixon leads a lightning fast field.

Combined practice results has it as Dixon, Castroneves, and Power.

Dixon and Power look dominant before qualifying. Newgarden wrecks.

Newgarden crashes while Dixon leads third practice at Watkins Glen

These guys can't start a race without a wreck. This one collected Bourdais and Pagenuad but Pagenaud got away. Pagenaud is third behind Power.

Kanaan is battling Pagenaud for third.

Bourdais is now dead last after he got going from the wreck.

At Lap 4, it is Dixon, Power, Pagenaud.

Frikin' Hawksworth causes another wreck on the first lap no less.

Things have settled out and it is still Dixon, Power, Pagenaud at Lap 10.

Kanaan gets by Pagenaud for third.

Aleshin is into the barrier and may have gotten into Dixon coming out of the pits.

Tire blew out to spin Aleshin. Dixon gets by unscathed. Caution is out.

Many the cars ahead of Dixon in ninth have not gone to the pits.

Power, Kanaan, and Pagenaud have not gone to the pits yet during the caution.

Power comes out third behind Kanaan and Pagenaud which will translate into about 15th.
