It has been a couple of weeks since the last race. Practice is due up and we shall see if anyone can unseat the Mercedes juggernaut in Hungary this week-end.

Practice three has Hamilton and Rosberg separated by just 0.098 seconds followed by Vettel and Kyvat with Hamilton holding down P-1. Rosberg could take this one.

Hamilton takes P-1 followed by P-2 Rosberg and then Vettel. Things are getting dicey in Hungary.

On second thought, I'll go with Hamilton, Rosberg, and Ricciardo

What a barn-burner of a race! :D

Rosberg must be kicking himself: He threw away a chance to close down the championship fight. :L

Congrats to Vettel, & to Red Bull for their great performance. :suds:

... And a tip of the hat to McLaren for their best performance yet. :yo:

Here's how we did:

Retroram52 & IndyAndy: 2 points, for picking Riccardo to finish 3rd.
forty_three & Hank Kingsley: 2 points, for getting Vettel & Riccardo out of position

Season Totals so far:

IndyAndy: 69 points
Retroram52: 60 points
forty_three: 55 points
Hank Kingsley: 40 points

Next Up: Spa, on August 23. :)

I am watching the replay and the Ferrari's got a really good jump on the start and got past Hamilton and Rosberg. Vettel and Raikkonen surprised the Mercedes and never looked back.

And Vettel just flat out drove Rosberg nearly into the dirt in a classic F-1 drag race to the first turn. I agree, Indy, what a barn-burner.

Then Rosberg ended up in a gravel pit but managed to do a drive-through and then really a hard drive to get back to some level of respectability.

That totally sucks. I am now watching Rosberg blow a rear tire. Looks like Rosberg is training for NASCAR. Cut the tire running into the nose of Ricciardo.

Perhaps Ferrari has caught the dominance of Mercedes.

I can't believe that Rosberg didn't get a penalty for that either time he did it. I understand he didn't get one when he cut Hamilton off, because they didn't make contact (even though Hamilton left the track and lost like 5 spots). I guess they figured cutting a tire and limping around was enough penalty, but if that was Crashtor or Perez who ran up on a front runner, you know they'd have been slapped.

Man Rosberg comes unglued when the pressure is on.

Hamilton was pretty calm despite everything going wrong for him. He composed himself and went for points. Rosberg screamed at the pit wall and tried to chop Ricciardo's nose off after Daniel made a ballsy move.

Perhaps Ferrari has caught the dominance of Mercedes.

Ferrari and Red Bull had great runs, but at Spa, they are going to have a damn hard time having anything for Merc and Williams.

Heck of a run by McLaren too. I hope they've turned a corner and start to be competitive.

Highly entertaining race for sure. As was said, Rosberg showed he's made of jelly when under pressure.

When he cut his tire on Ricciardo I applauded. that dive move Ricciardo tried on Rosberg was slick, but a wee bit too quick.

In the end, a better result for Lewis though when Rosberg had to limp to pits.

Lewis stuffs up the race (more or less) and still increases his lead. Love it.
