Klentak will want to do an emergency dumpster dive this weekend for discarded relief pitching talent.
Man it is disappointing to lose games like these. It is good to be a dreamer and have hope, jvett but the dildoes just keep showing up.
Vinnie gets yanked after 5 innings no matter what.If we have no competent relief, why not let starters like Eflin who was in total control for 7 innings keep going? The idea that your starter goes 6 and then 2 or 3 unreliable relievers come in to close it out is absurd. Eflin is 23 and despite a 99 pitch count he could have gone at least another inning.
Eflin has thrown three 7-inning QSs in a row giving up a total of 6 runs, with the Phils' relievers losing the last two. A waste of good pitching.
