Positives:

Russell Wilson -
No player in NFL history has been a higher percentage of their team's offense than Russell has been this season. The Seahawks will need him to be at his best this week, and he will need to avoid the early turnovers that have plagued him the last few weeks.

Bobby Wagner - Wagner is quietly having one of his best seasons this year. He's been solid as always in his tackling (100 again), has 4 takeaways, 1.5 sacks and a safety. He's also helped an injury laden unit stay together. This game will be a very tough matchup for this defense, and Wagner will have to play an important role in stopping it.

Jimmy Graham - Though his receiving numbers aren't all that impressive, well that is until you get into the redzone. 8 TDs in the last 7 games, and look for Wilson to look for him in the red zone again.

Negatives:

Injuries -
Injuries are going to be what people remember most about this season (especially if Chancellor and Avril decide that their careers aren't worth pursuing due to their injuries from this season). Now, Nazair Jones is unlikely to play to go with all the other missing pieces on D.

Carson Wentz - Wentz has had a great season, and though he's not the most prolific passer in the league, he has avoided mistakes and turnovers. A top run offense helps take pressure off him, but he has played lights out most of the season. Not only will the Seahawks DLine have to stop the #1 running game in it's tracks, it will also have to get pressure against a QB who has been lights out under pressure this season.

Zach Ertz - Ertz has been the best TE in the league this season, and has been Wentz's favorite target all season. Jeffery may be a big play threat, but Ertz is the one that Wentz will look for in must have situations - especially with the Hawks history against TEs.

Matchups:

Alshon Jeffery vs. Byron Maxwell/Jeremy Lane -
Jeffrey is big, physical and fast and the Eagles like trying to get him deep and allow him to go for those 50/50 balls. Seattle's depleted secondary will need to keep him from getting the big play - which will be difficult when he had nearly 6 inches on some of the guys who'll be covering him.

#2 vs. since week 3 - Philly is coming in with a whole stable of running backs that they like to use, while Seattle is averaging only 80.5 yards per game rushing since week 3. Their 3.2 yards per carry allowed in that time is also very impressive - and look for them to force Wentz to try and win the game through the air. The defense will have to be magnificent and pray the offense doesn't leave them hanging.

Brandon Graham vs. Germain Ifedi - Graham is having a great season - and leads the Eagles in sacks this season, where Ifedi isn't having a good season and would appear to be the worst on one of the worst lines in the NFL. Ifedi will need to pick it up and keep Graham off Wilson.

Overview:

I'm really not liking this match-up today. Philadelphia is playing very well right now, and Seattle is so injury ridden on defense it's a surprise they've played as well as they have the last 2 weeks. However, when you have Russell Wilson, you are almost always in the game (only 5 games in his 103 have been losses of more than 8 points, and only 3 have been more than 10). Even at home, it's hard to think that the Hawks (who've already lost 2 at home, to teams not as good as Philly) have more than a punchers chance. Both our home losses were the fault of other units than the defense, so if the D can hold the Philly O to 300 total yards or less - then that'll be an amazing accomplishment (Washington 244, Atlanta 290) and the offense needs to wake up right now. It's December, this is when this team has historically awoken, and they need to wake up today!

Atlanta losing should give these guys extra motivation tonight. Let's hope for a fast start and the D needs to get into Wentz's face early and often.

Nice to have Shaq Griffin back... Very happy with the way Maxwell has played... Lane is the person who makes me the most concerned in that secondary... Jeffery's will eat him for lunch if Lane is left one on one w/ him...
