The question is....which one(s) of these will end up being the flop at the end of the year? Seems there are always one or two that were all hat and no cattle when it is all said and done.

I'm guessing Florida and Penn State. But, Florida may look better than they really are unless the SEC east improves. Penn State is in the tougher division of the B1G and is due some misfortune to balance out a lot of good fortune from last year.

TCU is bringing back as much as Texas will in 2017. They have an advantage. This will be another year in the same system. I am not sure how soon Texas masters the new schemes. It wouldn't be surprising to see it take 4-5 games. That is one reason I have tried to temper the 9-10 win crowd. Texas may play like a 10 win team at the end of the year, but that doesn't mean they will win 10 next year

Florida is just too high. Have to love the defense, but QB is still a question. I am not the starter fits that system

Florida needs a challenger out of the East, Vols? Pressure is starting to build there, Georgia which could be the wild card here. I've always loved Kirby and believe he can turn that program fast. Until either step up Gators could get the default title out of the east.


Oklahoma, could there be a "let down" with Stoops stepping down? Mayfield came back, they have plenty of weapons still, but, but is Riley ready for this? Can he keep them on task when things might not go well, will the players respond? This one program could be the one to step up (playoffs) or take a step back with the resent changes....

He has a lot of numbers which can be overwhelming, but I still appreciate it.

Since Paul Johnson took over we've had 9, 11, 6, 8, 7, 7, 11, 3, and 9 wins.

Seven times we've been more than 6 wins, two times at 6 wins and under.

7/9 = 77% of the time more than 6 wins.

I like the over.

Yes. But if the number of wins is exactly the over/under number, it's a push and you get your money back.

With that in mind, since Paul Johnson has been coach (9 seasons)

6 times we have had 7+ regular season wins. (you win the bet). 2 times we have had exactly 6 wins. (you get your money back) and only 1 time has the wins been 5 or less.

I reiterate, I like the over bet.

There defense needs to replace some big names, but their younger guys got a lot of PT with the mass injuries FSU had last year.....

Then there is that young QB that learned a lot last season on the field with game experience....
