I'm going with a biased pick Rory. Love that kid.

But my pick of Rory is somewhat fact based. it seems Rory has learned how to grind. Going back to the US Open last year till now. He is getting better at knowing when to go for it and when not to.

In 15 starts, 8 top 5's for Rory.


My head says pick Dustin for the alternate pick but I'm going with a gut pick.

I'd like to see another one of those 'best players without a major finally bagging one' trend continue. DJ at the US Open, Stenson at The Open.........going with Sergio at the PGA.

Unless Kaymer can come out of nowhere.

Hopefully, Baltusrol is the main star and there aren't a bunch of scores like Whistling Straits last year.

Rory had a fairly easy uphill 18' birdie putt...never got it there...Phil...finally gets a birdie on the long par 4, 3rd, now +3....this group started on #10.

Wow...196 yd par 3 4th...Jason Day put it 8' or so, Rory stuck it to 6'...two good shots for a birdie. Phil, more safe, about 20' or so.

Jimmy Walker drops a shot...now tied for the lead @ -4...Day delivers...make birdie (-3), Rory on the same line inside him...doesn't....big miss there.

In the rough on 7...but he's been swinging well since I've been watching online, but putting has been so so to pretty weak actually....missed 3 makeable birdie putts that I saw.

Actually he's in the FW...Day is in the rough.

Seems like he has Augusta speed on the brain...or maybe those greens were faster on the practice rounds.

Yep, makes no sense for him to not make the adjustment at some point.

Tied for 125th ....in serious trouble of not making the cut. ...and that really is unacceptable with his game.

Bent greens in 90+ deg heat...you have two choices...let them grow a little fuzzy, keep them at championship speed and risk them burning up.

The PGA wants to keep them fast, so they water them a little...that little bit should not make them softer for the groups coming through after...shouldn't create any kind of advantage. They got some rain early...probably shuld need to water them today.

Stenson in the clubhouse @ -6....Grillo...yes, Grillo leading @ -7 thru 6.

Phil tripled the 1st...really could've been a lot worse...barely misses going OB twice on the hole...+4, needs to battle to make the cut...projected +1.

Rory also +4...even thru 2...obviously needs to make some happen as well....Day in that same group is -3...-1 for the round.
