Now that Pitts is on board, how does the class round out in the secondary? Already have 2 S (3 depending on what Faison-Walden plays) and a corner. Obviously Wade is always gonna be a take, assuming we're still in the drivers seat there. I'm guessing we would only take one more corner do you think it would be Castro-Fields or Donovan Johnson? Assuming we could get both obviously.

Wade for sure then one of Castro-Fields/Johnson I'd imagine. I'd prefer castro-Fields because he can play either and has the length the staff likes.

Faison-Walden is OLB/Star position

Third from Bash, 3/4 Star DB Derrek Pitts joins our secondary. Another nice defensive player.

Pitts was a HUGE surprise. I had to do a double take when my text from 247 came in. Everyone had him pegged for WVU as of yesterday. He's also very tight with Wade and that won't hurt our already solid lead with him. Rounding out defensive side of class nicely, offensive kids will jump on once the offense shows they are going to run what they say they';re going to run with Moorhead and his no huddle. If it cliocks early, we'll land a burst of skill players by end of September

Yes :suds: Even though we are getting all these recruits now how we play and finish the season will determine our recruiting class. If our new offense does well then we will land some great offensive talent. If we struggle during the season and should we lose to Pitt (please no) then I can see us losing some recruits who had committed. We are on a good run now but we have seen players decommit before NSD.

What recruit would you like see us land? Doesn't matter if people predict we only got a 25% chance. In fact only players predicted 25% chance or above.

I think we land Lamonte Wade and feel odds are way above 25% more like 80%. So my pick will be RB D'Andre Swift and OLB Drew Singleton. If we can land Swift we would easily have the best core of backs in the country. Singleton would be another great linebacker at LBU.

For his initial commit? Low. If we come out and have an exicting offense with Moorhead, I think he visits and we have chance to end up with both he and Swift....don't think we land either if they commit prior to season for their initial commit though.

anyone, or anyone we have a shot with/are still recruiting that may be committed elsewhere??

David Adams
Jordan Anthony
Kaindoh
Swift
Webb
Elijah Conliffe (he is blowing up now)

If we perform open field and are more exciting with more buzz, we'll be involved with some higher end kids who are in wait and see mode now.

I think we get Wade unless we lay an egg on field

Singleton?

I'd like to have him, but I'd rather have Anthony at OLB. Either would be fine by me. David Adams is a blow, he is going to be a stud, would love to somehow flip him as unlikely as it is

Hippenhammer should be a good get for PSU. Watched him a lot last year, they ( FW Snider) won 5A title and are favorites this year.

Game info from Mac's first game of season;

The Panthers scored on their second play from scrimmage when junior quarterback Michael Haupert found senior Mac Hippenhammer wide open for a 62-yard touchdown. It was the first of many big plays.

Hippenhammer, who committed to Penn State, finished with eight receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown, ran for 19 more yards and completed the only pass in his time spent at quarterback.

No real surprise, but Pitts decommits.....heard a few weeks ago it is family related....look for him to select WVU sooner than later
