I am an not surprised by Parra winning. He was the overwhelming favorite. I am a little surprised that Goldschmidt won. Maybe this is a sign of things to come for him with the rest of this season's awards.

Now Parra just needs to win a CF GG & he will have the Golden Trifecta.

The Fielding Bible has released it's eighth annual list of winners for best defender at each position in the MLB. The Fielding Bible is more legit than a Gold Glove.

C: Yadier Molina (Cardinals)
1B: Paul Goldschmidt (Diamondbacks)
2B: Dustin Pedroia (Red Sox)
SS: Andrelton Simmons (Braves)
3B: Manny Machado (Orioles)
LF: Alex Gordon (Royals)
CF: Carlos Gomez (Brewers)
RF: Gerardo Parra (Diamondbacks)
P: R.A. Dickey (Blue Jays)

I was hoping Anthony Rizzo could win it. But congrats to Goldschimdt, great season he had. Should be an MVP as well.

It looks like it's trending that way. He has a now won the Hank Aaron award(Best offensive player in the NL) & a Gold Glove this season.

He deserves it. I don't know his exact numbers but I think he had 120+ rbi's? like 35 homers?

Anytime a player can hit .300+ with 36 homers is just awesome.

I hate those home run guys who hit .230

Goldschmidt led the NL in slugging percentage, OPS, OPS+ and RBI. He was tied in HR(s) with Alvarez

If Goldschmidt wasn't on the same level of recognition as Votto before this season he certainly is now. Now when people mention Votto they will have to mention Goldschmidt as well.

If you guys wanna get a good laugh, run trough some of the comments about the GG winners on sites like MLB, ESPIN, & others. Uninformed fans from ATL/CIn trying to claim Heyward/Bruce should have won the RF GG. The same thing from ATL about Freeman getting robbed. It's hard to get robbed when statistically you are the 5th best defensive 1B in the NL.:wtf2:

Those are two of the biggest bandwagon loser fans in the country. In fact the Reds struggle to draw fans even when they are good. Not that we are much better but I think our fanbase can recognize who deserves what. Those fans don't even acknowledge the existence of our division.
