We haven't had a good HC this millennium. Quinn is the 1st real GM we've had in that same time period. Finally gets to hire his 1st HC. At this point I trust his judgement.

I just hate the 3-4.

I hear ya , if Patrica comes over, not sure he will be a success, but he has been with Pats for a while. He got to learn from Belichick who is a Defensive guru, and watched McDaniels , one of the best OC's in the game if not the best

Never know how a 1st timer is going to work out. Pretty much have to throw it in their lap and see what happens. I think they need multiple years, too. If you fire them after one year, you don't know if they're capable of learning. I'll be happy if he can manage the clock and doesn't coach scared.

Well if the pats defensive coordinator thinks Stanford is as good as Brady I’d have to agree. Obviously he’s a defensive coordinator because he knows a lot about offense and QBs.

Colts got the coach lions d idnt want. We let the hicks down there have him.
Patricia was the coach Bill favored the most. He even said he hates losing Patricia the most
The Lions have such a stellar track record of making solid decisions. I have no doubt this one will work out just fine.

Most fans don't realize this, but the Lions organization behind the scenes is practically an expansion team. When our new GM came here two years ago, he fired dozens of people who had been here 15-20 years in every department from strength training to scouting. There is nobody left from the previous era. Out local sports radio guys talk all the time about how this is the first time in decades the Lions are really working with a fresh start.
