Looks to be a tough test. The injury report today (Friday) was brutal.

This is the GB Packers M.O. . It wouldn't seem right without multiple injuries on this team every season.

just as I suspected. The defense hasn't improved at all. Randle doesn't belong in the NFL. And another ass whooping has begun. *shakes head in disgust*

So much for getting excited about the defense, F#*K, I knew nothing has changed. I'm done with Capers defense and the decisions made that NEVER improves it.

Glad this is a regular season game. That call completely altered the end of the half.

Capers will be the DC until he decides to retire.

Not a good half for the Packers. Notice last week Atlanta looked weak and now they look superbowl bound? Nothing wrong with what the Falcons are doing, they are playing good football and prepared for an important game.

I dont know if the Pack would have done much better with out having a bunch of key players out. I certainly did not help being down 2 O-tackles and Jordy offense or Mike Daniels on the D. The secondary looks over matched right now. Randall is not playing nearly as good as needed.

The Rogers pick really put them in a hole. Not sure who is to blame, but it did not look like the QB and WR were on the same page. If Allison would have keep running, he might have had a shot at it, or could have broken it up.

They have a lot to do in the 2nd half, I dont know if they can answer. I suspect the D will not hold up and the O will not find a rhythm. There is always a chance, but from what I have seen thus far, I dont expect it.

There has been a common theme with Packers for several years now and that is:
1. A shitty defense
2. Inability to run the ball

These 2 reasons will always keep them out of the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, This year will be no different. :rolleyes2:

Maybe getting thoroughly embarrassed will get Capers fired.

I'm at the point where if MM was let go I would welcome the move.
I don't understand this line of thinking. MM is a great coach, top 3-5 in the league easily imo. This game is all about injuries. Atl played well so taking nothing from them but it was quirky. The fumble return that looked a little forward but bang bang and the awful pick play penalty.

My reasoning is this, Capers defense doesn't work against a decent QB. It hasn't for years now but MM and company refuse to get rid of him. The injury excuse is really getting old and I honestly believe we will see the same results as last year. I'm just tired of seeing the same shit year after year.

I guess that's the difference between us...I will never tire of making the playoffs, most of the time by winning the division, and having a shot at a title.

I'm a little confused. That int at the end of the 1/2 and the lateral returned for at TD seemed to be just as much of a problem as the D. All in all, I don't think either side of the ball played well and the kicking game didn't do much of anything either, so I don't think blaming any one part of the team is called for. They earned that L as a team.

See it however you want, but it's time for them to get ready for the Bengals and move on. I don't think any team will win all 16, so they need to make the adjustments and take care of business in the next game, and the one after that and so on and so forth.

The injury list is now longer than Schindler's list. I've been saying for years to hire a new injury prevention specialist. All these meatheads know how to lift heavy weights but none know how to train effectively to decrease your chances of being injured. I think there were 5 pulled muscles today. That's hilarious

Here's some in game observations:

1.) The injuries: as stated in my previous post they have gotten to a point of having a ridiculous amount of injuries that are preventable and finding the right specialist are crucial if they're to keep their best players on the field. It doesn't matter how many all pro's we have if they can't stay healthy.

2.) Randall is terrible at CB: The guy simply can't cover and his tackling isn't much better. No matter who he's covering it's almost an automatic reception anytime the rock is thrown in his direction. The Randall experiment of converting a safety to a CB is over. It's year three and he looks worse than most rookies.

3.) King: Passes against him in bump and run was 0/6 with three incompletions forced when covering Julio. Dude needs to start now.

4.) Nitro is nice but if our CB's still can't cover anyone one on one then Nitro is ineffective. I'll give the run d a pass since Daniels was out for majority of the game but this pass defense was awful. We had a few nice pressures but very inconsistent.

5.) O-line: Just needs to regain health. I thought the game plan based on who was blocking was actually decent with chips, chops, and quick passes with a few screens as well. The penalties, turnovers, and dropped passes were too much to overcome.

6.) Bennett: 3 drops and a costly penalty made me really question bringing him here and reminded me of Jermichael Finley. Noooooooooooooooo

7.) Ty Montgomery: Is now my favorite player. Very nice, strong hell, not cocky or flashy. He just gets the job done and is so versatile it's ridiculous. His hands, power, acceleration, and instincts are elite and has improved his pass blocking (although missed one today I believe). Many were doubting if he was going to carry the load well he has for 2 straight weeks and fantasy owners are drooling over him.

8.) Mcmuffin: I'm glad he actually yelled at the refs today. Finally he showed some balls and let them have it. It could've potentially been a 3 point game going into halftime if it wasn't for the incorrect call on the block. The penalty was irrelevant in the end. Although it didn't motivate the players really it was nice to see him chew out the refs for a change.

9.) Refs: Terrible but I knew we would have to beat the refs and ATL so no big deal as it's a part of the game.

10.) Punter: The rookie punter was probably our MVP. Dude has a strong leg and some great hang time with perfect location. I hope we can keep this guy for two decades.

Overall, I expected a blowout with no starting or even backup OT's and don't care too much since GB doesn't really start trying until mid November anyways.

Nope, Dumb Crapers defense could relinquish 50 ppg annually and the coaching staff and GM would defend him and blame the players. He mus be sucking a ton of D to keep his job because he's a terrible defensive coordinator.
