Big 12 actually added the most quality in terms of football programs, but surprisingly Mizzou came the closest to cracking this streak.

Or the Big12 pulled teams from shit conferences while other conferences pulled at least one team from a power conference.

On this this slow day, about the only thing I can think of is this;

A team that is an also-ran or bottom-dweller in one conference is an also-ran or bottom-dweller in another conference;

AND

as one poster put it, pulling teams from shit conferences.

Since you brought this up on this slow day, let's go back a little further in time.
In the B10, how far back for Nebraska?
In the SEC, how about the Hogs and the Cocks?
In the P12, how about Ariz. and Ariz.St? (this probably is a little too far back, don't won't to go back to the beginning of time!)

lol, Rutgers and Maryland say hi. To add to your dumb post, TCU beat the Big ten champs in ya'lls precious Rose Bowl when they were in a shit conference.

It was a big year in Texas, the Aggies won the natl title and Texas became a state.

Did Not Colorado win the 2001 Big 12????

I think the OP is saying without any ties in the standings. Because I know for a fact that ATM won the SWC 1985, 86 and 87 but there must have been ties in the standings that gave them those titles.

Either that or they were vacated for cheating.

Ya, but Colorado Won the Conference Championship Game. There is only One Listed Champ for 2001.

And Didnt 13-0 Utah win the MWC in 2008? No Ties there...

Nebraska's last CC was in 1999 in the Big 12
Arkansas last CC was 1989 in the SWC
South Carolina's only outright CC came in 1969 in the ACC
Arizona last won an outright CC in 1941 when they were in the Border Intercollegiate Athletic Association
Arizona State last won an outright CC in 1996 in the Pac 10.

Meh, WVU will never be stacked w/ talent like OU and TX. We'll still be a tough out for anyone, but winning the B-12 take more than one 4* player vs a roster of 4 and 5*'s.

You could always cheat like a mother****er. It worked for Baylor.

Honestly you guys are like us. I think Holgerson can consistently put you in position to win the conference but it will take a bit of luck to take it down.

Thanks for the research and info!!
I thought it was a long time since SCar. won anything. They did make it to the SEC CG w/a 5-3 conf. record, but was destroyed by Auburn and you know who @ QB.
Poor Ariz. 1941 in some obscure conf. long since gone. Went to Wiki to look up the Border Intercollegiate Athletic Association. Interesting reading and found the teams that were in that conf. The Texas Miners was one, aka UTEP. One team fell all the way to Div. III.
A very good offseason thread!!

Interesting stats there, thanks for posting them. Surprised it's been that long for Colorado.
