Doubt it ends this year. There are ~40 available for Rutgers, and they are the returned tickets from Rutgers. They've got a week to get rid of them. I didn't check Northwestern, but I'd guess that's a similar situation. Next year would be the earliest if a bunch of people did not renew season tickets...that's the bread and butter of the sellout streak.

Very impressive streak. I hope it doesn't end anytime soon.

I hope not either. I love it. My prediction is we miss the 420 sellout

I personally know 2 families that did not renew their season tickets this season. They've had them since 1962. The seats are aisle seats ( about 20 rows up) where the Huskers come out of the tunnel in the corner of the north end zone. Back in the day it was where the visitors came out and our fans would stay and clap for the opponent as they left the field after the game.
To be fair the people are older and can't make it to all the games anymore. Their kids and friends had been using them, but now their kids are out of college and live out of state, so they decided to stop renewing them.

I never go to games. It's a Hassel and once again $75 bucks a pop to watch piss poor play. I thought $45 was high the University doesn't give a shit about the fans they just want our money. So I won't be attending any games till we UNL seriously makes changes to put us in National championship contention

I havent been to a game since the 90's TV with what it is and 126" Screen in the man cave, beer, cheap snacks, i have no motivation to go other than to take my wife and kids at least once so they can experience a nebraska game (she hasnt been to any football game since she lived in washington long long ago )

I think demand for Husker football tickets is still strong but I remind you guise what happened at Missou when the better seats cost more $$ like they do at Nebraska (with Beef Club donations etc.). They still have many empty seats (30 years later) as the crappy product on the field didn't warrant the higher cost of watching the games.

I haven't been to Memorial Stadium since 1993-95ish as I can't sit comfortably for a game after multiple surgeries. Back then, mom was still alive and she bought the game tickets (great seats) whereas my brother asked me for money to donate to one of "clubs" and I refused as he hogged the seats and my wife & kids never got a chance to go to games.

Channel 6 reported many seats emptied out in the 4th quarter yesterday and I suspect that is why Eichorst appeared red faced in front of the media after the game.

Unless they turn it around in the next 5 years, Nebraska is on the way to becoming the post 1962 Minnesota Gophers.
Although Minnesota fans had the Vikings to fall back on.

The streak has gotten watered down in the last 10 yrs there were many games where companies would buy up all the unsold tickets to keep it intact, between that and season ticket holders who can't sell of their tickets I can envision some pretty thin crowds this year
