The Phillies must keep Altherr at all costs. He is ripe for a solid year. He is capable of 25 homeruns or more plus he is a good fielder. Trade Nick if we need to get a starting pitcher. He is a poor fielder and is slower than
the Kraut.

Should have mentioned all the ground that Herrera would
have to cover with Hoskins in left and Williams in right. The Phillies would give up more runs in that
situation. Plus the kraut can play center when needed. Keep the Kraut!

We shall see what the Klondike bar comes up with regarding those players as we get to closer to spring training.

Both players are very good. Altherr has more power but he is 2-1/2 years older than Williams whom I prefer. I would hate to see Williams get traded. He's a good line drive, clutch hitter. Maybe we can keep them both which would be useful if Santana is a bust.

Nick, 24, 83 games, .288/.338/.473 12 HR, RISP .270, 55 RBI
Kraut, 26, 107 games, .272/.340/.516 19 HR, RISP .239, 65 rbi

Nick could be a Marlin. The Phillies are still chasing Yellich from the Marlins. The Saga continues.
