The only reason we signed him was that we need him to get inside info on the Chiefs' D this Sunday. Next week we'll be signing someone off off the Giants PS, book it.

Also we could honestly be concerned about the lack of speed in our secondary.

Darby can fly, this dude can fly. Robinson is the fastest of the rest which isn't saying much.

I think you have the right observation.

I don't think the Eagles are in the market for a corner anymore. I think they are settled now and actually have a good number of young prospects at the position.

We have so many injuries Iggy, that we could even get beat the midgets. We are paper thin at CB ans even more at safety. It makes me nervous about Sunday.

True (unfortunately). But is it worth giving up whatever we have to give up for Butler, and subsequently create a massive logjam at corner while making it impossible to fill holes elsewhere? We do not have a 2nd or 3rd in this year's draft (at best NE's 3rd, TBD this season). We cannot afford to trade away more picks for him.

No picks - just Kendricks.

Kendricks for Butler trade potential?

NFL reporter says Eagles make sense as a trade partner for Malcolm Butler

I'd do it in a NY second! And, if he wouldn't sign a long term deal, they could trade him after this season. By next year we would have a very good stable of CB's: Jones; Darby; Butler; Mills; and Douglas. BAM!
Kendricks is playing great and Butler will cost a lot of coin.

Although it would work to give Rowe more playing time and improve the pick from the Pats.
