UC had a hell of a signing day. Highest rated class in school History. I read that Scouts had them in around 29-30, and that was after losing Norfleet to Michigan.
When you look at overall talent, UC rise over the past 2 years under Jones in recruiting should really be highlighted how hard the staff has worked at improving the bulk of the team. It would be nice to have a few more 4* and 5* guys, but the bulk of any team is typically those 3* guys that work there way onto the field. Anyway, here is a look over the past few years at some recruiting ranks:
2003 Class: 24 commits, 3 star recruits (1)
2004 Class: 21 commits, 3 star recruits (2)
2005 Class: 24 commits, 3 star recruits (3)
2006 Class: 18 commits, 3 star recruits (4)
2007 Class: 23 commits, 3 star recruits (3)
2008 Class: 24 commits, 3 star recruits (8)
2009 Class: 24 commits, 3 star recruits (7)
2010 Class: 23 commits, 3 star recruits (7)
2011 Class: 25 commits, 3 star recruits (16)
2012 Class: 30 commits, 3 star recruits (22)
Curiously, UC also signed 2 preferred walk-ons, but I can't find who they are. I'm curiousy because Latwan Anderson, a former 5* "U" commit who signed to run track and play FB for the Hurricanes before leaving school posted on his twitter earlier this year he was committed to UC, but he would be a part of 2012 class due to getting his academics in order from leaving Miami. Because he never played football, he would still have 4 years remaining. If that is the case, UC has one talented secondary coming with 4* S from Troy Ohio signing yesterday as well.
