I am not sure there are two people who dislike each other more. Putting them together with all that pressure? It will not end well. I still like Kimi, but like last time I will have a hard time rooting for that red car.

Oh well, I hope Hulk gets Kimi's seat at Lotus. And then DiResta winds up at McLaren.

Tickets are widely varied, because tracks are long, and there are many areas to get to and watch from, and F1 brings giant screens to every area there are fans that show the local broadcast so you don't miss anything. You can get into absurd money easily for a Box on the Start/Finish straight and a paddock pass.

But if you get a gen admission pass to a remote area you can do it somewhat cheap. I think my cousin in Malaysia got grandstand tickets away from the finish for the equiv of 150 US each. Plus another 200 or so for a paddock pass to walk among the cars. Not terrible for an event at the top of a sport.

It's on my bucket list to sit on the hillside above Eau Rouge at Spa one day.

What kills you is Hotels. Rooms like 25 miles away from the track in Austin are over 600 a night for that weekend. Why I wish they still ran at Indy. I could drive over for the day and not have to stay.

From '99 - '10 I owned a house three blocks N. of the track: Thirty minute walk from my front door to my seats.

... But I'm glad to out of that neighborhood, all in all. It was going downhill fast by the end.
