For the longest time, Nimoy was not thirlled with the public association of Nimoy = Spock. For his sake, I am glad he came to peace with it, and embraced it. For that role is the most defining legacy he has left. And for me, like millions of others, that role is how he will be remembered.

He brought me many hours of joy in my youth, and for that I say, thank you Leonard. Rest in Peace.

He even somewhat angrily wrote a book called "I Am Not Spock" in the mid 70s then later wrote another book called "I Am Spock" when he was older and more comfortable with constantly being associated with the character.

He was a cool guy and actor. Pretty good director too.

Well I am really saddened by this. This is such a part of my life lost that it brings a great deal into perspective. I love Star Trek I grew up on Nimoy, Kelley, Doohan, and of course Gene. I knew this was bound to happen even the great dr. Spock can only escape death so many times, but here I am saddened at this passing. A passing of such a great man that brought so much peace to the world. The world lost a good one today. You have Lived Long and you did Prosper. Farewell Mr Nimoy. Thank you.

Nichelle Nichols has passed away. She broke barriers in the 60s for women and black women. She was and will always be an icon and legend. RIP you beautiful soul.
