I thought if he made it he wouldn't get more than 80%. Weak ass class helped a ton. I'm still not convinced he's a hall of famer. Good for him, though.

There's no doubt. He's a HOF'er. He was the first of the "Modern" era SS.


He passes the stats test, and the eyeball test. You knew when you watched him, he was a HOF'er. Add in the fact that the next great SS to define the position, A-roid, cheated, and it's even more impressive.

He also lost a few All-stars to Ozzie Smith who lived off reputation for awhile without backing it up on the field.
