Good genes in the family (her mother was an Olympic swimmer and her uncle was NBA star Kiki Vandeweghe).

yah I know that ... I also heard that her camp emphasized she needed to get stronger if she wanted to beat Serena

Pretty disappointing result for Milos overnight and a golden opportunity wasted, that second set was the killer as Milos has six set points and squandered all of them (including double-faulting up 6-5 in the tie-breaker). This one is gonna sting for some time.

Wait wait wait, lemme guess.

He blaaaaamed....an injury?

He appeared to be feeling better by Wednesday, but then had a recurrence of an adductor injury in the 6-4, 7-6 (7), 6-4 loss to Nadal.

Colour me shocked! Can't wait to see him in the NBA ASG celebrity game in a few weeks again looking totally fine and throwing down dunks lol.

Moj will be excited though as his favo(u)rite female tennis player (Lucic-Baroni) is into the semi-finals.

Yep, I think this was one of his better chances. My 3-month old started fussing last night right at the start of the tie-breaker, so I was able to watch. Some great points, but double-faulting at set point really stung. When I saw that he'd had 6 set points, only for Nadal to win it on his first set point, I was pretty annoyed. Obviously, great players like Nadal still have that clutch skill set, and that's something Raonic hasn't quite figure out (though he's gotten better).

The consistency is great - that's why he's #3 even though I think we all give players like Stan, Federer and even Kei better chances of winning - but this was clearly an opportunity wasted.

Bit of a disappointing result for Raonic but hey losing to Nadal is no shame. Hopefully Raonic will do better as the yr. goes on.

ESPN (and a lot of tennis fans) get the final they wanted with Fed versus Rafa. I needed sleep, so I couldn't watch the Rafa - Dimitrov match, but by all accounts, it was a 5 set epic battle.

Sigh...No Milos for Canada at the upcoming Davis Cup (adductor injury). I'm sure as frustrating as it is for us fans, it's gotta be more frustrating for him.

Well, not that there was any doubt that Roger is the greatest men's tennis player of all time, but he defeated Rafa earlier today in an epic 5 set marathon for major #18. Way to go Roger!

Good for him, have always liked Federer. Yeah he's probably the best male tennis player ever.

After the dq he should have shouted to the ump you can't be serious.
Man, I couldn't believe it, it was an obvious accident, but hopefully lesson learned for Denis.

/Damn left-handers :D
After he got the dq, he should have shouted at the ump "you cannot be serious"
