saw that story last night about all the frenchies getting clipped roadside as they take their selfies at the tour :L

that one of the cyclist slapping the phone out of the dudes hand was a classic lol

I believe the Brits were the ones getting a little too touchy feely with the riders along the tour route through GB.

And remember, these are the five things we are testing for. And a quick Google search will teach you how to beat three of them. Thanks.

and remember to not go all "Lance" and take them in front of all sorts who can testify against your cheating lying ass later on

The biggest challenge Vincenzo Nibali has faced so far is a bikini bimbo with a cell phone.

If only the team car had run it over...

I'm actually surprised all the riders, team cars, and media motorbikes co-exist during a race without any major incidents taking place.

They probably should be happening more with the chaos, but they do happen. A Camera bike hit a woman once and killed her.

Also, there is the famous 1994 Policeman's crash at the end of stage 1. I would link to the video, but they all show the rider injuries and they are not for the squeamish. Basically a crowd control officer was standing next to a barricade and the lead sprinter and the two guys chasing him had their heads' down and hit the cop at around 65kph. Bikers got the worst of it.

And it's actually good they hit him because if he wasn't there, they would have hit the barriers and gone into the crowd.

But sometimes it's amusing:

And not always a disaster:

Don't forget about the dog crash!

They sure don't make those bikes very strong.

Vincenzo Nibali wins it by 7mins and 37s. He also wore the leader's jersey for 19 of the 20 stages. He won the jersey on the second stage, let go of it on the third, got it back on the 4th and held it the rest of the way. He also won 4 stages, three of them in the mountains (which is practically unheard of for an overall winner). All of this after famously being rejected for a kiss after winning the second stage.

Plus he elbowed the phone girl out of the way a few posts above. Eventful two weeks.

It would have been nice to see what he would have done if most of the heavy hitters hadn't had to abandon the race. Pretty dominating performance, nonetheless. Plus he is now one of 6 men to have ever won all three "Grand Tours" (Vuelta de Espana, Giro D'Italia and Tour De France). A feat Lance Armstrong never accomplished, by the way.

King of the Mountains Jersey winner was: Rafal Maijka
Green Jersey (Points) winner was: Peter Sagan
Young Rider (White Jersey) winner was: Thibault Pinot

Don't we have to wait a couple years at least before dishing out these hono(u)rs?

The odds of a top cyclist getting busted down the road for PED usage is pretty much equivalent to Godwin's Law.

Considering how dominant he was, the fact he's won all three grand tours, he's Italian and 2nd and 3rd were both French...

I'd say he's approaching a 90% chance of shaming.

Maybe another thread or pool asking what he will get busted for is in order.

BTW, I don't think Lance ever attempted to win the triple as you called it. He always focused on the Tour de France and didn't race in many of the other tours or giros.

90 would be a minimum in my books. These guys tend to be ahead of the testing curve , so they could be shooting ground up razorback testicles for all we know.

Yeah, with 3 mountain stage wins I'd push that to 96%. ;)

aside: that Greg Lemond / Bernard Hinault 30 for 30 was worth watching imo
