i found a useful chrome extension ... but it is not compatible with this site for some reason.

If you want this poll to get legs and have a lot more traffic, I'd move it or remake it on the sports gen board. The tech board doesn't get a lot of visitors. Basically, only when it has a fresh response and hits the most recent list will anyone see it exists.

I doubt it. They have like a gazillion third party ads that need to load so the site would become inoperable.

Old Lion is basically right. HTTPS encrypts, but then all the adds would have to be HTTPS compliant. As it looks like the Hoop uses light cookie browsing to determine what adds pertain to what users, it would be a pain in the ass to configure, and the Hoop would likely loose paying adspace customers while they corrected the issue.

i can disable it everytime i visit the hoop ... but it is a hassle
