I think yes and Kuznetsov. A goal cannot be credited without a shot attached. And the credit for the shot always goes to the last player to touch the puck. Even if the "shot" is not a shot per se.

Future Canuck Evander Kane still the best teammate, apparently:

Not making excuses for Kane, it's been a frustrating season for the Sabres so it's shouldn't be a surprise that pushing and shoving etc. is going to occur in practice. That said, there's been plenty of chatter about the Flames being interested in Evander and I would steer clear mainly based on the dressing room impact.

This is better. I was going to say he started his rush when the Zamboni was still on the ice.

If the available wingers list contains guys like Patches, Hoffman, Nyquist and probably Maroon later on, I can’t imagine convincing myself as a GM that Kane would be the best guy to go after.

Kane seems to have quieted down a bit over his past behavior but I'd still stay clear from him if I'm a NHL GM looking to add someone.

Nick Suzuki or Cody Glass for Evander Kane (E4).

The classic McPhee move. Kane's moneyphone gets better reception in Vegas. Vegas begins to go into their tailspin.

    It's too perfect.

The only way it could get better is if they talk Ray Emery into coming out of retirement at the same time.

Isn't the free kick wall supposed to be between the shooter and the goal?

I'd definitely take Hoffman and Patches over Kane. Probably not Nyquist and definitely not Maroon. I'd bet a team with decent leadership (see not Byfucklien in WPG or ????? in Buffalo) could get him to behave. In the dressing room and on the ice at least.

Nyquist has more goals than Hoffman, Patches and Maroon and only two fewer than Kane. Kane is better than Maroon but Maroon likely comes cheaper (both due to player value and you're dealing with Chia) and intangibles (good possession player, even before moving to Edmonton).

Kane's play has also fallen off a cliff - 4 goals since November 20th.

Blake Wheeler isn't much of a leader in your eyes?
