Wow, it had been 11 years since Calgary won in Anaheim.
And Bieksa tries to keep Tkachuk from getting the game puck for Smith.

Jerk puck game is strong

Ya know folks, every week I'm on here.. and the kids watch Coach's Corner so I gotta point.. I GOTTAA point something out!! You get this dummie here in Anaheim trying to steal Smith's puck after he missed the last 740 games with injury. Good Kingston kid. He had about 80 shutouts with the Frontenacs, can't catch a break in the NHL. Finally makes it back through awful injuries and this JERK won't let him have the game puck. I can't even watch.. you Canadian kids, never do this!!! If there was no enforcer ... er instigator rule this goofball would NEVER have the guts to pull this kind of stunt. It was gutless and as soon as I figure out who it is... It's Biesska?!??! He's still in the league???

Alright movin' on!! Let's go here!! I don't got much time, eh? Anybody get blown up in Afghanistan this week?

The Sabres are playing some bad hockey right now aren't they? For a team that's supposed to be a great young team they're looking terrible right now.

Only a couple games. But, some things are like Newton's 3 laws:

Buffalo is a force on paper, then they step on the ice
Ovie lights it up in the Regular Season, and,
Calgary loses in Anaheim.

/errrr, wait, forget that last one

Why did everybody think Buffalo was gonna be good again? They fired their entire front office and their biggest add was fucking Nathan Beaulieu lol.

Highly entertaining canucks game tonight ... i might end up buying tickets for another game this season lol

Entertaining on and off ice ... i was in this section and saw this all go down ... some very serious social shaming / tyranny of the majority

Dude who swooped down stealthly and stole the puck from her was showered with chants of mvp ... and random people bought him 6 beers that i saw lol. They moved the cow after the second intermission to a different section

Not sure about good, but the expectation at least was better with a new coach and some added growth for the young guys.

Well, they were only playing the pathetic excuse for a franchise known as the Columbus Blue Jackets. If they were playing a Stanley Cup champion original six team like the Toronto Maple Leafs or any team from the real home of hockey, Canada, it would be much different. And dash can shut up before I kick his ass.

/throwback

Sonny Milano got the Jackets only goal against the Hawks and scored both goals against Carolina. The question on the table is how many goals will Sonny get this year.

All of them. He will get all the goals.

Has Torts benched him yet?

/its coming

He blocked a shot last night, so he's good for a few weeks.

It did come out last night that Torts' just learned Lukas Sedlak's first name. On the trip to Chicago. Seems he wanted to call Pierre Luc Dubois "Luke" and he was told that someone else was already called that. He wanted to know who.

Horvath and his buddies wrapped an octopus snugly around his stomach and concealed their secret cargo under a Gordie Howe all-star jersey ahead of the Wings' home opener last week in the team's new home. Every detail was carefully planned but everything went wrong when the eight-legged animal went airborne.

The octopus arched through the air and slid across the ice, eliciting a roar from the sellout crowd. The tossing of cephalopods has long been a popular pastime for Wings' fans but it's one officials frown upon. Horvath hardly had time to celebrate before security guards grabbed the back of his jersey and whisked him away.

"The crowd was going nuts," said Horvath. "As they were escorting me out people were booing them, 'Let him go!' People were high-fiving me, giving me spanks on the butt, slaps on the butt ... everyone loved it."

Everyone, it turns out, except for staff at the Little Caesars Arena, who escorted him to police, where he was charged with a misdemeanour offence and told he wasn't welcome back to the rink — ever.

"The two supervisors of security told me I'm done," he said. "I think it's very stiff. If they want to fine me I understand, if they wanted to ban me for a year ... I can deal with that, but to get banned forever? That can't happen."
