Am I the only one sick and tired of hearing about a Duchene deal? It seems he has been linked to the other 30 teams in the league at some point.

It just seems toxic and irrational for all involved at this point. Great point I heard today, Sakic has been burned in the past and he knows if he "loses" this deal he's done.

Another interesting point, Ryan O'Reilly wanted out badly, Roy quit abruptly, now Duchene. Is there something wrong with the entire culture there? And if that's not addressed are we having this same conversation in 2-3 years when the next crop comes along?

This faceoff shit is horrendous. I've seen 7 penalties in the Jackets game. One for boarding, the rest for faceoff issues and hand taps.

It's not just the goal scoring that should go up with 10 powerplays a game - with all that wasted time, especially on face off violations means more time for potential customers to purchase overpriced beer (and possibly pretzels)

/except in Edmonton as the extra time will be wasted standing in line to take a piss

The faceoff thing seems kind of like a solution in search of a problem but I'm fine with calling the slashes. But as I said, I think they will adjust their behaviour. I guess I just hope it doesn't take too too long for them to adjust.
