Apparently, Chris Simms was on the Dan Patrick Show and claimed that he was paid by Texas boosters.

Methinks with all their resources, UT could have bought a better QB.

Anyone fan of a P5 program that doesn't think this happens at their school is delusional.

UConn doesn't have the money to cheat. Otherwise they'd be buying better basketball players.

They used to be.

Before the demise of the BE.

There's a reason they haven't had a good QB since Bush was in office.

Thanks, Obama.

Love to see what the Texas fan that had the running Simms hate thread for awhile has to say about this

I don't remember his name, probably because all I can think about is his cheering jersey.

Fantastic.

We cheat. I personally cook the books, and my family has tons of blondes that will sleep with recruits on a moments notice.

Any chance Nebraska is in need of a 30 year old white guy with a bum ankle?

Circle is tough.

Gotta prove yourself.

Already received notice. You have to kill Urban Meyer. (Keep it on the down low).

Do I need to make it look like an accident?

Maybe I'm delusional, but I don't think it happens at every program --- at least in terms of straight up paying players. There's a risk vs. reward balance there, and I think some schools simply don't need to risk that kind of activity. I think players at every school get some benefits that would probably break NCAA rules but are rather minor in the grand scheme. Like free meals, free merch, maybe some instructors give them a better grade than they should...that kind of thing. Or, in OSU's case, turning in your car for repairs and getting a free rental sports car for 6 months. But flat out pay players? That's pretty damn risky. And at schools like Alabama, it's unnecessary.

I was referring more to receiving $100 hand shakes from boosters en sech.
