You're right. There has just been a whole bunch of whistle swallowing tonight. At the start of the season there was nothing but touch fouls. Now at mid-season, not so much. No consistency. And UCONN got the short end of the stick at home.

Ya I gotta say that's what pisses me off with basketball. I love college but can't stand the NBA cuz overall I hate the sport and how it's called.

I prefer a game where the refs let them play. If they call everything I get disappointed. BUT at the end of the day, it's consistency. Basketball is the worst at it by far. It's gross.

I will probably be in the great minority when I say I prefer watching a game played the way it was back in the day. There was an art and a grace to watching someone like Kareen score inside....smooth as silk while NOT using his body like a rampaging bulldozer....which is what I see now.

I hate the hop-step, I hate hand checking...and I hate statements like..."well there was a little contact but he got his hand on the basketball..so it is a good....no call". Imo NO it's NOT.

I hate the charge or block call. Once a player goes up in the air with the ball he is committed. Imo letting some opposing player slide over in front of where he has to come down; and then calling a charge is atrocious. Imo if the ref can't see or recognize {the fact}that the defender got position before the opposing player left the floor; then it should be an automatic blocking call. I don't give a hairy rat's ass for anything spouted about extenuating circumstances.

I also feel that players and coaches can adapt and the game will get cleaner, shorter, and have more finesse to it if the refs will call it consistently.

An obvious foul and no call. Napier was fouled going to the hoop right before half and got no call as well. The refs sucked their whistles rather than blew them. Except to call technicals and eject Ollie.

I was in the middle of a poker game, and we were watching with the sound off. I looked up, and I'm like "Why are there state troopers walking Ollie off the court? Isn't this game in Storrs?

Then I saw the replay. Can't say I blame the guy at all.
