Seahawks have released QB B.J. Daniels and activated OT Russell Okung from the injured reserve/designated to return list.

This was an expected move but surprised it was BJ Daniels that was cut. The good news is that Browner remains off the IR for now so there may be hope he can play again this year.

Only other question is when do the Niner scope Daniels back up? haha

Releasing Daniels makes sense. He was an insurance policy in case something happened to Wilson while Okung, Giacomini and, to a lesser extent, Unger were out. It's hard to make a case for keeping 3 QBs now.

As far as Browner goes... not having him for the Saints game is gonna hurt, but it would be unrealistic to expect him to come back that soon, so the guys taking over for Thurmond as he shifts over to Browner's spot are gonna have to be on their A game for that one. Hopefully he'll be back for the Giants game, but you never know with a groin injury. You can't rush a guy back from that and I'm confident that they won't, especially given how well the guys played without him early in the season. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we didn't see him again until the playoffs, though hopefully he gets back sooner than that so he doesn't come back too rusty.

A bit surprised Daniels was released but also happy that BB wasn't placed on IR. After PC's press conference yesterday I thought for sure that was coming.

Daniels won't automatically revert back to the SF roster right? He would have to clear waivers and then he is free to be put on any practice squad that he chooses correct?

Very very nice. Seattle should be at full strength tomorrow but it's nice that we have a bye to ramp these guys up.

Life is good chief. 9-1. It's just icing on the cake that we get both our starting OTs back and what I consider #1 WR.

Nice to know that as long we take care of business against the Vikings the Niner-Saints game is a win win situation.

We either will have at least 2 game lead going into our Monday night game with Saints or have a 3 game lead on the division with 5 to play and essentially have no worse then a 2 seed.
