Lincoln Riley has brought in his former boss, Ruffin McNeill, in to coach the Defense.
He will concentrate on the Defensive Tackles.

This guy did a great job at Texas Tech when he was Mike Leach's Defensive Coordinator.
He was the DC in 2008 when Tech destroyed any chance of Texas making it to the NC game.

Lincoln Riley kicking ass.

Oklahoma coach Riley hires ex-boss McNeill

I love this hire and he is a great recruiter. This gives Riley 2 former head coaches on his staff now.

Between Baker, Lincoln, and now McNeil, our Taco Tech farm system seems to be really delivering.

Should be. If Ruffin takes over in 2018, I will be happy.
Stoops is a loudmouth worthless cvnt. I remember too well his days at Arizona. I used to pray for the day one of his players kicked in his teeth after beating him half to death with tire iron.

As happy as 2008? :noidea:

You mean the game where Tech almost blew a huge lead by giving up 27 pts in the second half?

Great defensive work there.

Yep, should have let him go when they hired coach bro 2.0 instead of him.

OU's locker room chemistry will be wack til he is gone, they should cut him loose now.
Ruf is a good hire.
This ^^

Yep.

The way coach bro 2.0 handles the lame duck season for his DC will tell us alot. Bringing in McNeal is a decent move-he is no Brent Venables but he has hc experience (ECU really dicked him over) and I'm sure 2.0 wants a guy running the defense he can trust.

Team chemistry may be shot though. With a dead man walking on defense the calls to have him step down will be loud if Ohio State torches them.

Just to clarify, I don't think it is a bad hire for OU. I just think it would be a flag if he got the DC job next year. OU should be able to do better

What are the chances Mike Stoops says "To hell with this" and quits before the season starts?

What does his contract look like? I'm sure he made good money at Arizona but he probably doesn't have fuck you money like his brothers do. If he is owed a buyout he is probably better off waiting it out than just quitting and leaving cash on the table.
