You think he finds his groove in Brooklyn? I don't, but then again I could be wrong. He's definitely got the potential. There's a reason he was #3.
He can score which is something they are lacking in Brooklyn.

For crissakes, Mosgov is their starting Center.

Brooklyn has no picks, can't give their cap space away.

This is the only way they can acquire talent.

The Nets now with the 2nd and 3rd picks of the 2015 draft. Sean Marks has done a hell of a job

Sorry but Okafor is a bust right now. 76ers win this trade.
I mean, the 76ers drafted/traded for 3 Centers in two Seasons, all 3 were broken at various times.

Then sandbagged 2 of them once it was clear Embiid was the goods and the other two couldn't compliment him.

But, when Okafor played, he produced on one end at a decent clip.

No reason he can't be Greg Monroe-ish.

I just hope his father doesn't return to his Lavar Ball ways now that he got traded.

Definitely not top 10 but if you're good enough to be a top 3 pick in the NBA draft, you should have the talent to become an all-star AT LEAST 2-3 years into your career.

The math doesn't work. 3 new top 3 picks every year. Only 24 allstar slots. Since most guys like LeBron, Curry, etc once they get established are all stars every year, how is there room for 3 new ones each year?

I am just plain happy for Okafor. I hope he learns to be a better defensive player.

If that is the measurement -- he could have the #1 pick from 2013 without much investment.

This is a win for both teams but I like it for Brooklyn more. Philly gets a nice vet to bolster them as they make a run for the players. Booker is a solid rotational player and nothing more but that's what Philly needs right now.

But Brooklyn yet again makes a savvy pick up here without giving up much of anything. Marks has done a great job navigating the mess he was left first with D'lo who was playing great before his injury (get well soon D'lo!) and now gets a buy low option on Okafor. Philly was doing him dirty. The kid has barely played. Now he's got a real chance to show some of the potential that made him a top 5 pick and all they had to give up was a 7th man in a rotation that they weren't going to keep long term anyway. And then they got Sauce Castillo and a 2nd rounder on top of it which could be turned into something as well. These are the kind of moves that seem small but over time turn into bigger moves as you keep turning them over and over and building up. Smart FO work out of Brooklyn

Bust is a strong word considering Philly held him hostage

Agree. I also think that we have to start extending the amount of time that players are in the league before we start hitting them with the "bust" label.

With all of the one and dones, players are entering the league at a younger age than ever before, so they aren't as polished as they have been in the past.

Yep. I also think people forget Okafor avg 17 and 7 in his rookie year.
