Except that it’s not guaranteed for 10 years.

Wait til Urbs goes to renegotiate. Trace Armstrong will have to show him where the bear shits in the woods. 2021 is coming soon. Either that or Urbs can give Jimmy Sexton a call.

Yeah that AD is going to eat his words especially if tOSU gets in the playoffs regularly which they should unless Penn State keeps pouring it on. One thing we know is Harbaugh isn't going to challenge him worth a crap.

He didn't mean the dollar amount is crazy, Ohio State can shell that out easily. He meant actively giving Jimbo Fisher 75 million is fucking crazy.

If only Candi had stuck it out for a few more years ... she'd be rolling in the dough.

Except he said: “It’s the same way with Alabama and their total salary,” he continued, via the newspaper. “Take it off the sheet because it doesn’t matter. Because it’s just no value to it. It’s a reactionary type of management.”

Jimbo has ZERO recruits coming to A&M right now from the state of Florida and is fighting for scraps.

Oh, piss off Gene. If/when Urban is up for a contract extension, you're going to give him a blank check and shut the fuck up.

If I was an AD at a middling program like aTm, I am not giving anyone a ten year deal. You are bearing all the risk.

They didn't just give a ridiculous contract to Fisher........they also overpaid all his assistants by a large margin.

They have over 100 million tied up in coaching salaries.......so when it falls apart in 3 or 4 years, they will have no real way out of this.

I don't know what moron they have making these deals, but I hope aggy keeps him FOREVER

Notre Dame did with Weis.

I still believe that the better the coach you are, you don't want a high buy-out. You want to be able to
get out of a contract easy, not pay back a bunch of money.

I can see the need for a buy-out when you take over a program like Golden did at Miami that was
struggling to get players after probation or even USC when they were devastated with scholarship
reductions. After a couple of years people tend to forget the problems you inherited and demand
immediate success or your job. Golden held the Canes together and folks were hot after him...Miami
did what they had to do to keep him and then he relaxed when he had security.

Notre Dame was ludicrous. They looked decent for a few games and played SC tough, but
still loss and then ND immediately gave him all that money and guaranteed his entire contract.

The only one in South Bend that profited off of that deal was the McDonald's across the street
from Notre Dame.

Any from Florida? FSU closing in on a top 10 class in 2018.
Nice, you guys might not have to schedule Delaware St the last week of the year to make a bowl game now
