two times in the 4th inside the 50 with first downs....Staubach and Aikman woulda delivered.

singer at rock concerts, golf tournaments and celebrity girl friends, as well as Cabo were high on his priority list when he was younger. Thankfully he matured, just not fast enough

Hard to overcome the penalties. Both times inside the 50 those flags started to fly.

That dime he threw to Crayton in the back corner wasn't getting it done? Oh yea I forgot, our team IQ was 60. We only run hard when we know we are getting the ball. The game was messed up from the start. Let's make Barber- Emmitt Smith. The hell with Julius. TO was 70 percent at best.

"Starting with the flags - 11-84 yards. Our defense allowed 14 points simply because of flags"

you can't have it both ways
you can spin the excuses all you want.
He missed Owens on a crossing pattern that was a TD in the 3rd QTR and twice in the 4th QTR had a first down inside the 50 and came up with no points.

Demarcus Ware jumped the first possession and gave the Giants a first down. It would have been a punt. Next play bomb TD.

We go up 14-7 with 50 seconds left in the half. 10 minute drive all the momentum going into half. Giants answer in 50 seconds after a huge face mask.

Twice we are inside the 50 in the fourth. Our Oline jumps twice on 1 possession. Romo sacked on another.

I'm not spinning shit. That game just nothing went our way.

Would have delivered what? He had developed into a great QB the last couple of years he started, but by 2016, he was getting hurt every time someone touched him. There is nothing to suggest he could have made it through even half a season. Now if you are talking about a younger Romo, that's fine, but the younger Romo pooped away his fair share of big games. In the playoff loss to the Packers, Dak was 24-38, 302 yards, 3 TD's and led the offense to 31 points. The last playoff start of Romo's career, Romo was 15-19, 191 yards and 2 TD's and led the Cowboys to 21 points...in a loss to the Packers. Both guys played great, but neither plays defense.
And for the apples to apples record, in Romo's FIRST playoff start, he was 17-29 for 189 and 1 TD in a 21-20 loss to the Seahawks. We all remember how that one ended....

He "woulda delivered" the same way Staubach and Aikman " woulda delivered" in 2007.

Here is where you go off the rails. You keep trying to compare the two or defend Romo and that is why when you slight Dak it is questioned as biased and more defending Romo than critiquing Dak, even though Dak is the one of the two that is a Dallas Cowboy.
It remains to be seen what Dak is, but his 2016 as a whole was amazing and he delivered and brought us back in the GB game and gave us a chance to win. Almost no chance we have that success if Romo is healthy. 2017 he was just average no doubt. But Romo would have been in the hospital trying to fight off the pass rush we saw this year. Let it go. It's done.

Yes he was very good in that GB game. Here is my thing - in this thread it is said that Romo missed Owens over the middle in 07. So?? That's one play that possibly cost us 4 points. I come back with us giving up 14 and I get told I'm spinning . As usual it is a double set of rules on here. Come on man, don't make me dissect Daks GB game.

Here is the difference: You never come out and say things like "you are right Romo did miss Owens and that cost us".

Everyone knows there are many plays that impact a game, not just one. Try admitting ONE TIME that Romo screwed up and it cost us and your other comments will hold more water...:2cents:

Then why didn't he? He was the starting QB here for over a Decade, where are the Rings? Hell, where are the NFC Championship games? You compare the guy to Staubach and Aikman who have the Rings, when a fair comparison for Romo would be Stafford or Rivers. That's the hard truth.
Dak...who knows, but the kid has played pretty damn well his first two years. We don't know how Romo would have played his first two years, he held a clipboard

Romo made bad mistakes yes - as did Aikman, Staubach, Brady, Manning etc. It's the position.

It is said in this thread that Romo thought he had arrived already in 07. Says who ? How in the Fuck does anyone know what Romo thought in 2007.

The choices he made off the field. Celebrity girlfriends???? What dumbass wouldn't mess with Underwood and Simpson back then.

Take this however you like- Dak was awesome his first year. The first 8 games of his second year he was pretty good. The second 8 games he was awful.
