Just one reason the Yankees are so good every year. Their scouts can recognize guys who get on base and they must have great hitting coaches. Bird's minor league avg with 6 teams since 2011 is .282/.395/.483 - .878 OPS! Do we have any guys like this?

Mac is keeping Knapp, Blanco, Coughlin, and Altherr plus either Nava or Stassi as the five bench players. I'd prefer them both and dump Coughlin.

Drop Coughlin. He can not judge fly balls. Stassi and Altherr make sense. Stassi has done his time in the minors
