It's go time!! This is where everyone has a chance to show a little bit of what they know and hopefully get you acclimated with as many teams as possible so you can dominate your Brackets this year.
The weekly pick ems will be simple as shit. Me and SteelersPride will find the 20 best match ups for that weekend, Saturday/Sunday games. I will post the games each Monday so all of you fuckers have plenty of time to pick the games. Weekly winners will get 1,000VCash. The weekly winner will be determined off of the most WINS rather than % so some slimy bastard doesn't win the week picking only 3 games. I will determine the tie breaker each week and mix it up each week. Be warned, it may be a stupid tiebreaker sometimes but that's what you get for tying. If you only pick 10 picks in week, happen to get all 10 right and 10 is the highest total...You are a stud and the weekly win obviously counts. Games will ALWAYS BE STRAIGHT UP. This shouldn't be an issue as we are picking the best match ups. No Louisville vs Virginia Tech(Fuck you Buzz) type of games.
The pick em regular season will run through the regular season of conference play. As of now the top 4 teams will make the playoffs. If we have a shit ton of people participating I will up the playoff participants. Final ruling will be made after a few weeks when we see how many people are playing. The 2 people with the MOST WINS will automatically be eligible for playoffs(shouldn't be an issue) while the remaining spots will go by win % to award those who are really damn good. The maximum amount of games you can miss to be eligible is 40(or 2 weeks). So, if you go 58-2 throughout the year, congrats but no playoffs for you.
Don't have a confirmation on the grand prize yet but bragging rights are a sure thing
. Playoffs will be picking conference tournament games. Obviously, those games are not determined a week in advance so you would have to be active if you make playoffs. Unless someone has a good way to do a playoffs for conference tourney week.
We will be starting next Saturday the 20th. I will post the games by Monday to give everyone time to get picks in. Each Monday when I post the new picks for the week I will post the weekly winner and current standings.
