gotta love the clear double standard displayed by Disney in regards to Roseanne, Jemele Hill, Schilling, Olberman etc.

I guess in 2018 as long as napa valley is controlling the media conservative hate speech will not be tolerated and liberal hate speech will be rewarded.

And yea, I guess in a really broad sense, that totally equals equating another human being with a monkey. Then again the reality is there is a possibility that Trump is a white supremacist. Pretty sure Valarie Jarrett is not a monkey though.

I would say being called a white supremist is worse than being bred from an ape. We don’t wish apes were dead and we see them as having value, but a white supremist, not so much.

Hill has a long long history. She once said rooting for the Boston Celtics against Detroit Pistons is like rooting for Hitler and Nazi Germany.

You only need to spend 15 minutes or so reading her twitter page to realize that she is a racist who has major disdain for white people and anything white.

On top of that she essentially called Trump and all his supporters white supremacists.
So here is the wrap on Hill

-She has put her employer in real uncomfortable positions multiple times
-She is terrible at her job. Historic ratings drop once she took over Sportscenter 6pm addition. The ratings have begun to climb back since she left.
-She has lost her company money. Major subscription loses. I even changed my cable package so ESPN wouldnt be included. My reasoning was Jemele Hill and ESPN standing behind her and the ridiculous left wing spin I've noticed long before the last year or so starting with the unadulterated hatred for the Redskins.
-Shes basically an open racist.
-Does not follow ESPNs social media policy and has been warned about it multiple times.

Yet she somehow is still employed. Its truly a miracle. Meanwhile Curt Schilling, who is an idiot, merely retweeted a political cartoon in favor of some NC legislation and was fired. He was also warned multiple times about ESPNs social media policy.

-Linda Cohn says ESPN should be less political, which I guess is a sign that she leans right?, loses air time and gets suspended.

-Sage Steele who is 10x more talented and maybe 500x more attractive is openly conservative, not even close to as outspoken about it as Jemele Hill, loses air time and has her role greatly reduced.

So.... yeah there is a major major double standard. Keith Olberman whos incoherent explicitly laced twitter ramblings against Trump gets rehired after all of ESPNS criticism.

And to be clear. I'm not condoning Roseanne, nor do I even watch her show. She should face consequences regarding her distasteful tweets even though it was poor attempt at a joke. If they decided to cancel the show that is fine too people should be more careful. What I do think is that there needs to be a fair standard. Its absurd that Jemele Hill wasnt fired years ago.

Liberal hate speech is essentially tolerated in the media but Conservative hate speech is not, when neither should be tolerated.

Jemele Hill is nothing but a race hustler who has benefited greatly both professionally and financially piggying on victimhood.

Its okay when Ben Carson is called a porch monkey or a house n***** by a celebrity apparently because he sits on the other side of the aisle

I dont really mind Bill Maher to be honest. I think he actually has some fair takes. I also think its different in the fact that his show is on HBO and you have to pay for that.

Bill Maher is definitely liberal but he acknowledges the absurdity of religion and fake news and calls out politicians and people of all leanings.

TBS host of full frontal, Samantha Bee called Ivanka Trump a c*nt. Now Ivanka is not a vagina.

The show should be cancelled not because full frontal and samantha bee are both things most people have never even heard of but because there is a standard.

mainsteam media wont even touch on this though and she will probably go unpunished. The double standard is very real

His take on journalism is right and he can see where people who dont share his political leanings are coming from

I'm not crazy about Trump but I emphatically disagree that his slogan has anything to do with race. Its a shot at Bush and Obama. The sensitivity when someone on the right says anything that can be misconstrued into a racist statement is a big beef of mine and why we are even talking about double standards. Only one side is facing censorship and restrictions, a side that you mentioned that you typically vote with. Its obviously very sensationalized but I understand the comparison of modern day liberalism and fascism.

If you admit that there is a double standard and that it is wrong why would you be okay with it?

There are no places for people like Roseanne and Jemele Hill. They should not be afforded a public platform to spew shit out their mouth. Disney did right when it came to Roseanne but turns a blind eye to Jemele Hill.

No one should be treated a certain way by how they dress.... how they act though? Thats a bit different.

my thing about racism is it swings both ways . you cant be all aghast when someone tells a racist joke from one race about another and not be aghast when the joke is flipped back on the other race

how can you cry racism on roseanne (which it is by the way ) but look the other way when maher goes after trump with the same type of ape joke . it all comes down to what side of the political isle you sit on and that is wrong .

either you let a joke be a joke (cant see how racist jokes can be let go by the way ) or you say it cant be allowed and not to be criticized (notice i didnt say anything bashing the 1st amendment )

a cop shooting or roughing up any race or targeting any race for crimes with no probable cause should be jailed period

we as a human people have got to start treating all men and women as we would want to be treated ourselves and teach our children this . racism is a learned behavior o that is where we start and continue to focus

black people have the toughest task of all , they must put behind past injustices and work with us to eliminate this issue . . if revenge is what is being sought out then more hate will come into play

blacks commit 5 X more violent crimes against whites then white commit against blacks . that stat screams anger and i am not saying blacks dont have a right to feel like they do . but if we cant put our differences aside then nothing will be solved

i think one big thing is to work on poverty . single parents raising kids have like a 72 % chance of being poor . we have spent billions of dollars on poverty and govt programs but very little gets to the people . we need to hold govt officials at all levels accountable for this

if we raise the standard of living for people i believe there will be less scapegoating and hence less racism
