You could probably copy and paste this after every game. This is one of the more uninspired teams I've seen. There have been worse Mets teams but those teams didn't have good players. This team has solid pieces here and there but nobody is putting it together.

What a fucking disaster.

When is it time to start asking (the alleged "pitching guru") Mgr. Mickey Callaway some tough questions??

And can we expect some real honest answers?...instead of the trite excuses, or the run of the mill platitudes??

Sure is great that they got rid of Terry Collins, right?

The starters haven't been that bad of late. The pen is a disgrace and has been since Alderson took over so I'm not sure I can blame the manager. The real problem is the line up and the pen. I'm not sure there's a reliever on the Mets that even gets on the Yankee roster when it's healthy.

Check out the last 10 appearances from Chapman, Green & Betances combined

30 1/3 innings. 3 earned runs. 15 hits. 11 walks. 46 K's.

If the Mets had these guys when they were blowing all those games a couple of weeks ago they'd be in striking distance to first place. Alderson has to go.

TC was done and it ran it's course.
Not sure how Callaway suddenly out of nowhere appeared on the radar as a candidate when there were at least a half dozen better options out there.

This front office needs a serious overhaul too imho.

It's always been chaotic for good or bad, but it's become an enormous clusterfuck under the current ownership these last 10 years or so. (2015 notwithstanding)

The 'Pen was awesome to start the year. I didn't figure it would last the whole season, but they flipped 180 in such a short time. And now with Familia out it's only going to get worse, if possible. I don't have any confidence that AJ Ramos can close out games for us.

Mets lose 2-0.

Mets vs. Braves - Game Recap - June 13, 2018 - ESPN

Nuff said:
The punchless Mets have scored 10 runs in their past 78 innings and began the day 14th in the NL in runs scored. New York has lost deGrom's past five outings even though he's allowed only five runs over that span.

TRAINER'S ROOM:

Mets: RHP Noah Syndergaard has been prescribed more rest after getting a second opinion on a strained ligament in his index finger. Manager Mickey Callaway said Syndergaard's right finger is "tender to the touch." Syndergaard, on the disabled list retroactive to May 26, was examined Tuesday in New York. There is no immediate timetable for his return

UP NEXT:

Mets: LHP Steven Matz (2-4, 3.53 ERA) threw a season-high 105 pitches in his previous start, a no-decision against the Yankees. He'll face Matt Koch (4-3, 4.20) as the Mets open a series against the Diamondbacks.

This team is god awful. They hit under 150 on the home stand which is an all time low for home stands 7 games or more. That includes over 13,000 home stands. Worst winning percentage ever for a team that had reached 10 games above 500.

Remember when they announced their practices would be much shorter than average to keep players from getting hurt? They look like a team that doesn't practice and everyone got hurt anyway. It doesn't even look like they're trying.

The worst part is they're tied into contracts for next year and beyond.

5 outfielders, 3 of which (Cespedis, Bruce, Legares) have contracts no one will touch all will be back. Only Nimmo looks like he's a keeper as Conforto's been a YUGE disappointment.

Frasier is under contract for next year. The SS is young and they're going to keep giving him a chance but he looks underwhelming. Smith doesn't look like a player and their catchers are a collection of garbage.

Hopefully Famlia comes back and they can trade him for something along with Cabrera. They won't get much but hell, throw a few prospects against the wall and hope for the best.

June 14th. Flag day.
Mets have been playing these last few weeks like they're putting up the white surrender flag.

I predict by the time they get back home next week they'll be in last place in the NL east after this road trip.

Terrible state of affairs has befallen the less than Amazin's of late.

That being said..they're in Arizona tonight to begin a 4 game series with the Dbacks.

TBH...the Mets aren't tanking...what they're doing is stinking up the place against their own will. That's called suckage.

That they are......that they are.
