Yeah, I guess its my fault.

lol....not your fault.

Just an unusual amount of injuries and bad luck since spring training that's carried over into the regular season up and down the roster.

There have only been a handful of bright spots for the mets this year, and Conforto was one of them.

Really exasperating.

Looks like surgery might be needed for M.C.

Surgery an option for Conforto after tear found

Mets put Cespedes on DL, activate Reyes

WASHINGTON -- The New York Mets have placed outfielder Yoenis Cespedes on the 10-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring and activated infielder Jose Reyes.

Cespedes was injured running the bases in the first inning Friday night. General manager Sandy Alderson said Cespedes' "season is in jeopardy."

The 31-year-old has been limited to 81 games this season because of various injuries. He's hitting .292 with 17 home runs and 42 RBIs for a team that has fallen out of playoff contention.

Reyes had been on the DL since mid-August with a sore left ribcage. He's hitting .223 with nine home runs and 39 RBIs.

New York on Saturday also called up outfielder Travis Taijeron from Triple-A Las Vegas
and optioned right-hander Kevin McGowan.

Cespy's season is done, Wright's could be too...in fact, it probably should be. :L

Mets' Cespedes out for year, Wright halts rehab

Meanwhile....some better news:

The Mets did offer positive updates on ailing starting pitchers Matt Harvey (shoulder) and Noah Syndergaard (lat muscle), as Harvey is expected to return for Friday's start against Houston, while Syndergaard is slated to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday.

Did it seem like both of these guys were going to miss the rest of the year? Sheesh.

Nope.
I figured Thor would be back in July after the AS break...and Harvey sometime in early August.

The Mets' medical staff along with the team training/strength/conditioning crew need to be dissolved.
New personnel with new ideas and new approaches have to be brought in. The injury patterns are all too frequent for them to be just mere coincidences.

Every year it's the same old song & dance.
They got lucky a few yrs ago winning the NL pennant, mostly due to overall team depth.
Right now all of that is ancient history AFAIC. It's time to turn the page.

Yikes....Cincy put up a 5 spot in the 1st...after the Mets scored once.
Game pretty much already done.

Oh well..looking ahead....

I wonder where they're gonna play this weekend's series against the Astros?
Not gonna be in Houston.

The Texas Rangers will also at home for that same weekend against the Angels.

Logistics, baby!
